Fixed rate due to expire early next year so starting to prepare myself! We owe circa 180k on a 300k-ish property. 22 years left on mortgage and don't want to extend. Currently pay 850 per month. Eek.

Ours went up from £1.3k to 1.9k. So about a £600 a month increase. Horrid!

some of these figures are scary

we are down to £40k ish left on ours (house worth £750k) so although we are on a tracker it’s only going up £20 ish per month right now. We have been overpaying while rates were low but are now ramping that up even more to try to clear it.

@Luckydip1 it’s a loyalty rate for existing Barclays customers I believe

what is your LTV if you don't mind me asking?

Luckily I am mortgage free now. I would recommend overpaying if you can afford it.

I don't recall that being the question. At all.

But snaps for you x

@rosetintedmemories2023 80% I think

does it still exist? I can't find it on the site? I would be 65% LTV, i think.

Napoleandynamite · 22/06/2023 17:16

@rosetintedmemories2023 it was done about 3 weeks ago so times may have changed. I called them directly they said it was not an advertised rate. Hope that helps x
