Here for traffic 👀 Not a mug or anything or socks.. or anything too novelty. Hes 60 and still works full time self employed!

What are his hobbies? Maybe get him something related or maybe a gift card to a store he's frequennt at (if he needs some sporting equipment etc).
Look into events that are taking place soon and see if there is anything he would like to attend.
Restaurant voucher or a delivery from his favorite place or a homemade dinner might be options.
If there are any old photos of his parents and grandparents, you can digitize and colorize them and make a new photo album. There are programs like Photoglory or Photoworks that repair old photos really good, or contact local photo stores for that.
You can also make him a Father's day slideshow with family pictures instead of an ordinary card.
Check out his favorite writers, maybe there is something new that would interest him, if he reads contemporary literature, or maybe he would love to get a special edition of his favorite book.
Various subscriptions could be an option, like wine, snack boxes, magazines etc.

I bought this for my dad this year, its sweet but still practical and there was next day delivery too! He doesn't love novelty but I know he will actually use it haha.

Probably not a help as all our gifts are token/novelty but here’s the list:

DD1 11yo is mad about ducks so got DH a rubber duck holding a beer.
DD3 5yo has got him some chocolate footballs because he likes football
DD2 9yo Wooden photo frame for his desk
Me (far too old) Batman T-shirt ( it’s an inside joke, I’ve bought him almost the exact same T-shirt consistently through out our relationship) and a Batman Hotwheels which he loves as I left it in the shopping bag that he unpacked. He has a collection of sci-fi, superhero and fantasy ones.

If I was going to get him something “serious” it would be either a football shirt or a ridiculously expensive lego set.

For my husband off my son I've ordered some fancy biscuits made by someone locally.

For my own dad I've also ordered off someone local and am getting a hamper made up of chutneys, a scotch egg and local cheese.

Spa voucher
Scented candle
Fluffy socks
Fancy skin care

... and if not, why not?

Upinspacemannnnn · 14/06/2023 22:51

I ordered my DH a food hamper from M&S. Reasonably priced too.

AliceMcK · 14/06/2023 22:54

Just remembered I’ve also ordered some face wash and face cream DH likes from body shop and DD3 bought him some must needed Dad socks.
