How long is reasonable for lunch break at secondary school

DS school is going to cut it's lunch break further so the kids get just 35 mins. It seems very short and not much time to eat, socialise, have a break etc. Is this common in other schools?

@MyMachineAndMe does your son have an Individual Health Care Plan? This should deal w things like that

He has a one page profile but not an EHCP. He has ADHD and has to take his tablet at dinner and with it being a controlled drug he has to take it in the SEND hub where, as so many other students are doing the same thing, he has to queue and lose 10+ minutes of his lunchtime.

That’s aimed at @MyMachineAndMe

Thank you I will bring that up on Thursday's parents' eve.

I'm a teacher in a secondary school. We have 4 minutes but realistically by the time u hsve dismissed ur class dealt with any naughty individuals and Bern to loo you end up with 15 or if u r lucky 20m. It is not long enough but as people have said it is to stop anti social behaviour
