AIBU to fly with severe anaemia?

Posting here for traffic as I haven't been getting any replies in health recently. In a nutshell I went to GP for a lump last week. He's referred me for X-ray & ultrasound and did blood tests. He just phoned me to say that my inflammatory markers are up and I'm severely anaemic. My levels are 87 and they should be 120. I'm not clear what this is measuring, I think haemoglobin? He's ordered a load more blood tests, urine test, stool test, overall seems quite concerned. At the end of the call I mentioned that I'm due to go on holiday, just for the weekend, and I assume that was fine - and he ummed and ahhhd for a while, then checked the official aviation rules and eventually said yes. But now I'm really worried about flying! Has anyone flown with reasonably significant anaemia and been fine? Should I just relax about it?
In terms of symptoms I have pretty bad dizziness, heart palpitations, pain all over (and very bad pain where I have my lump), plus pretty much every other anaemia symptom. But I've had all of those for months and I didn't even think to go to the GP, I just assumed I was being pathetic/old/a busy mum...

I was very severely anaemic for many years (at its lowest my hb level was 2.3!) and even now I generally hover around 9 so your levels are only just very slightly lower than my norm. No medical professional has ever told me I shouldn’t fly!

You now know you are anaemic. You therefore must declare it and will probably have no cover for anaemia related things - but if you don’t let em know they won’t cover anything …

Have you been advised to take iron supplements? When is your holiday? You might find the anaemia is better after taking the supplements and you will be ok for flying. I've been taking iron for years due to heavy menstrual bleeding. Nobody's ever said I couldn't fly. They will need to find source of blood loss or other reason for anaemia to get to the bottom of it.

Recently I drove to a weekend away in a major city several hours away. The next week my Hb was at 38. I needed emergency blood transfusions and several days in hospital. I live with levels like that.

In case anyone is still following this, turns out the anaemia is being caused by lymphoma. I think the GP already had a pretty good idea it was cancer when he told me not to fly, so that was more his concern than just the anaemia itself.
