.. it is not neccessary cover the handle of the knife with it, and a little on the blade suffices?

I know it's just a little niggle... like putting water in the washing up bowl and letting it go cold with dirty stuff in it... or taking one sock off and stuffing it down the side of the chair cushion... but it's wound me up today to yet again pick up the butter knife and get my hands coated with marmelade.

I never do anything remotely irritating, of course.

It's the leaving the dirty ples on the surface above the dish washer and the dirty clothes on the floor in front of the wash bin that drives me particularly mad (he obviously has some dreadful disability preventing him from actually bending down and opening the door/ lid- poor thing.)

I didn't wash up today before Ashes to Ashes, and when he came in from his meeting this evening, he actually said "you've reached new heights of laziness this evening"

He told me he meant it in a light hearted loving way. But that was after I whacked him round the head with the frying pan.(In an Ally McBeal sort of way, I hasten to emphasize)

And take your effing pants out your jeans at night so I don't have to pick them out when I fill the washing machine!!

snoring
leaving empty tins/plastic bottles on the side in the kitchen instead of putting them in the green box outside the door
balled up socks and all other clothes in big heap in bedroom
all clean folded/ironed clothes added/hung up in this heap on the floor
the collection of mugs and furry sandwiches left in (technically still MY car) from work
piling the washing up sky high in the sink 'to soak' so the sink has to be emptied of wahing up & scummy water before I can do it
"leave the washing up/bin/green boxes, I'll do it/them in the morning" - yeah right. pigs fed in the morning too?
leaving little bits of baccy all over my worksurfaces, then lighting it just before he goes outside cos 'the wind keeps blowing out the lighter'
walking past a toy in the middle of the floor several times then biting my head off when he trips on it
disappearing when it's bedtime having fed the dcs sweets all afternoon

GRRRR

Think it must be a defective gene on the y chromosome

Oh yes, and he can shove that catch phrase of his "everything has a place" after losing my front door key, which has a bloody great big teddy bear key ring so it's easy to find in my bag....
