Asked neighbour to stop her dog barking

The neighbours behind me have a collie dog which never gets walked. Every nice day they let it bark in their garden accompanied by her screaming at it to stop. Today was the final straw and I walked round and politely asked if she could either stop it barking, or take it inside. She wasn't happy and now they have packed up and gone inside muttering about me being unreasonable! Well was I! Confused

Not unreasonable- she clearly finds it annoying too!!!' And it's her bloody dog!!! Well done!

I thought it better to go round and say something than sit and stew!

No, and it sounds like your moan worked! So win all round. Poor bloody dog.

Poor dog, they need so much stimulation to be content. Wonder why they don't rehome it.

They've always had a couple of dogs which never seem to get much exercise but this one barks and barks. It's like a single woof every few minutes which has your nerves jangling. All the neighbors moan about the dog and her shouting.
To be fair I have dogs and she told me mine wake her up when they go out so I've promised to do something about that

No you are not being unreasonable. If I could work out where the barking in my vicinity was coming from, I would be doing the same!

We have a dog and I do allow her to have a short bark when she goes out, it's their communication, I see it as her way of introducing herself to a new day. But I do bring her in if she won't stop after a few minutes. I don't have to shout, just point to the open door and she either shuts up and skulks off behind the shed, or she trots in with no fuss and waits for her "coming in nicely biscuit"

The neighborhood dog today has barked/yapped fairly constantly all day. It's been very hot here and I was getting concerned that it couldn't get indoors. Unfortunately with everyone having high fencing I couldn't work out where it was.
