Honours being handed out like smarties for years really debases the value of same.

What does it actually mean for the recipient anyway? It is good to be recognised for achievements, but most of these political honours are dubious at best and downright laughable for the most part.

Resignation honours should simply NOT be a thing. It's just outright cronyism.

But there is still a large proportion of society that venerates people with Honours for them to have value.

When I see a 'sir' in front of a name, I just assume the guy is a sycophantic arsehole, or donated massively to the tories, or both.
