To be shocked at the rudeness of some tourists in DL Paris?

I’ve been so shocked at some of the behaviour and I know it’s probably cultural differences and some Brits are probably just as bad abroad.

These are some of the behaviour I’ve seen, all from the same nationality of people so it’s probably cultural differences but I won’t say which as don’t want to offend:

  • Not listening to safety instructions. On one boat ride the parents let a little girl stand up and lean out to try and reach the water. A staff member did a tannoy in both English and French telling them to sit their child down, and took several tannoys and people shouting at them before they sat her down as they were about to stop the ride
  • Having loud conversations all around the rides, shouting rather than speaking which meant we couldn’t hear any of the storyline. I know this sounds like I’m being a bit pedantic and pathetic but they were so loud
  • waiting for the shuttle bus back to the hotel, a group would form on the pavement. They would then come along night after night and stand in the road where the bus was due to pull in and block it, so when the bus arrived they would shove back and push everyone back. They would then shove their way onto the bus so that they got seats. I saw a few people getting hurt
  • Not queuing properly. A queue would form for a lift or ticket machine and they would just go in front of everyone and barge their way in. It was infuriating lol (now I know where the stereotype of British being good at queues come from)
  • during the fireworks, a family put their phone torches on and started making sandwiches. They had a loaf of bread and butter out and everything. I know some medical conditions like type one diabetes mean people need to eat but this was a whole family. After that they then loudly started packing up their bags and buggies. Other groups would walk through the crowds being loud and disruptive with phone torches on pushing past to get out during the fireworks. Again, I know there’s little children who need to get to bed but the torches and shouting were unnecessary

Disneyland Paris is awful for this.....ended up linking arms in the queue and then holding the railings at the side to try and stop to the queue jumpers.
