1 year vaccinations

My son had his one year vaccinations yesterday and I noticed that the nurse pushed the needle really far in on one of the injections and it looked like she kind of slipped.

Quite a bit of blood came out and she asked me to push down on it with cotton wool for a bit.

It's pretty swollen and hot now. The appointment was yesterday at 4 pm. He started having a fever today at around 4 pm.

I think it's all within the range of normal at this point. But I can't help but think it went in too deep and shouldn't have drawn as much blood ? And what if it's infected / sepsis etc. ?

On one hand I think it's still all within normal range right now. On the other hand I am worried about worst case stuff.

Any opinions ? I haven't even called anyone about it yet, as I said, my logical brain thinks it's probably normal.

My little one had her jags a couple of months ago. She didn’t have a fever but had a lump on her leg at only one of the injection points. The lump was hard and remains for over a week.
I think it can be normal to have a fever for within 48 hours but anything longer would get checked. If you’re worried then I’d phone 111 and get him checked over.

My son had his done 2 weeks ago. The nurse said its normal to possibly get a temperature up to a week after the vaccinations. Did the nurses mention anything to you at the time?
