Carers allowance. Can I report someone for trying to claim?

My sister is claiming carers allowance for "caring for" our mum who is 91.

She is a liar and a manipulative person. I'm NC with her.

It's me that looks after our mum, day in day out. She's started coming over every now and again but doesn't actually do anything.

I've just found out that she's trying to claim carers allowance for herself. What can I do?

Your mum needs to claim attendance allowance on her own behalf. You can do it for her.
Download the forms and print them out.
It will take you a couple of days to fill them in and you need all her medical information. It is well worth doing and is backdated to the day you make the claim. It takes about 6 weeks to come through.
It isn't much money, but it is very worthwhile in terms of being able to access other support in due course.
If you can prove that you care for your mum for at least 35 hours per week you can apply for carer's allowance for yourself.
Carer's allowance and attendance allowance are separate things.
