I witnessed a dog attack this afternoon

I was sat outside a restaurant for a late lunch today and the dog who was with the guys at the neighbouring table lunged, slipped his lead and attacked a passing lady and her little dog.
It was awful, she was just strolling past with her little baby and all hell broke loose.
They both were alive but injured and the guys just ran away with the dog.
I can't stop thinking about it.
I have given my name and details to the police but I can't stop thinking about it. They could have both died a metre away from me.
I don't know why I am writing this but I don't have anybody else to vent to.

Stop minimising! Wow, I take it you would be happy to have your child/pets etc play with this dog? Give your head a wobble.

I hope someone who witnessed this will be able to identify the cowardly owner(s) who ran away rather than staying to face the consequences of taking a dangerous dog among the unsuspecting public.

I bet it was some kind of bull breed of the type listed above . I hope it’s found & destroyed.

A nasty experience and the ‘ what if’ is a totally normal reaction. Your brain is processing what you saw, what could have happened and the resulting injuries. Allow yourself to go over it. This helps to process the information until it extinguishes naturally.
Hopefully there is cctv and the man can be traced. A dog with such behavioural issues shouldn’t be in public unmuzzled.

Me too. It will kill somebody im sure if it is not destroyed.
I have always been a 'it's the owner not the breed' kind of person but no owner was kicking this fucker back. They would have been better off walking a lion down the street.
