sorry, you are right, the documentary and hormones are separate..but not.
I’m trying to make sense if it all - and I believe that, like me, a lot of people may still be being told, as we were, that the ‘trans movement’ is just the new punk or goth. no problem.
that if they do get to hate their body and believe they should really be a boy, That waiting lists are 2 years, plenty of time for them to consider the pros and cons.
As I research, im now finding out that it’s a bit more than that, which is why the documentary may be helpful - so that other parents have the chance to realise what’s going on. Bayswater group, sex matters and transgender trend may also be interesting.
the separate mention of waiting lists and testosterone are because following on from being socially transitioned by her school guidance teacher, my DD has decided to take testosterone.
obviously I checked the NHS 2 years comment out, and was shocked to discover that it may be true for the NHS, but that I can sign up to an online clinic for a few hundred pounds, and be on testosterone in a month or less.
I was also then shocked to discover there is also something called’microdosing’ which is being encouraged online. where the effects are slower- but many are still permanent. So,it’s basically pocket money affordable from this chain - £18 a week.
there is no ‘waiting lists of 2 years, plenty of time for them to be counselled, so it’s all OK’.
Teens are being persueded that this is easy, safe, and will make everything great.
my DD (18) seems to think testosterone is easy, safe and no more dangerous than getting a hair cut.
