To go on a cruise alone?

Would it look odd? What should I expect? I'm an introvert, I like peace and quiet and prefer my own company to socialising. Is it full of screaming kids? Would like to go somewhere hot where I can get off the ship to explore etc...

Virgin Voyages all the way, I sailed with them in June. There’s no buffet, just individual restaurants you book a time at, and they normally have loads of solo travellers so you won’t stand out at all, certainly no sniggering from the staff. There’s solo meet ups on board but you can just do your own thing. Balconies have hammocks too which are fab to relax in. No dress code at all, wear what you like, they do have a Scarlet Night where they turn the ship red and people tend to wear something red that evening but totally optional and no-one will care what you get up to.

Do it OP!

Please don’t give dining with strangers a second thought. It’s entirely your choice whether you sit alone or with other people.

Enjoy yourself. 😊

The high-end cruise lines are wonderful. Seabourn, Silversea, Regent Seven Sea. No table sharing unless you want to. Do whatever you want, whenever you want. Peaceful, plenty of space, no crowds. You very much get what you pay for when it comes to cruising.

Use a good quality cruise specialist agent like Sovereign Cruise. Their advisors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
