Do the NHS offer Travel Vaccinations at a fee or is each surgery different?
Thanks

When I had mine for Cape Verde they were free at my GP surgery. However, before I could book in I had to go for a travel consultation (by appointment) at Boots to assess which vaccinations I needed. Boots would have done the injections at a 2nd appointment (for a fee) so I just booked in at the GP practice.

Not all injections are free though. Some are more specialised and have to be paid for or you have to go to a special centre for them. Depends which country you're going to.

Pretty sure the NHS website and Boots website will give you most info you need.

We offer hepatitis A and typhoid for free, as well as diphtheria/tetanus/polio if you need a booster.

Not all surgeries offer travel vaccs, depends if they’ve agreed it in their local contract.

Everything else you’d need to go to a private travel clinic.

I'm immunosuppressed and asked at my GP surgery, but they said no to all of them. Even tetanus, they would only give it if I'd had an accident or something and needed one.

I went to Boots and paid for them all to be done privately. I needed tetanus, typhoid and hep A.

Not sure NHS resources should be used on vaccinations to enable you to do entirely optional travel to be honest - most people can’t even dream of going to places which require a vaccination to visit.
