Being casually shagging someone for a couple months now. I made it clear from the beginning that that was all I was looking for at the moment due to my current circumstances. He was fine with this.

We usually sext and once in a while he will check in and ask how I am doing, will have a quick chat and that is that.

Yesterday morning he messaged me asking how I was etc. I replied couple hours later. He didn't reply until this afternoon, over twenty four hours later. Saying something like, I'm good, off today, what you up to?

At this point after 24 hours I think the conversation is finished and I need not reply. He's now messaged me ???

AIBU to think that he can wait and has a cheek after taking so long to reply after he started the conversation?

I'm not sulking. I just can't be arsed messaging back now due to the time between message. So am wondering if it's rude not to. We are meeting Saturday anyways.

"Cool, see you on the weekend"

You’re casual because of your circumstances. Sounds like you might wish your circumstances were different because usually this much thought/feeling doesn’t go into something that’s just casual.
Who counts the hours between messages? Do you could the hours between shags too?
