Noisy neighbours (holiday)

We are currently on holiday with our 6 month old baby and dog; we are staying in apartments on a holiday site… we are ground floor however above us we have an extremely noisy family… I appreciate children make noise and that’s great, however it’s literally thumping noises all day and late evening (when they’re back) it’s so bad it literally sounds like they’re moving Furniture constantly, then when they do go out, their dog barks constantly until they get back (upto 3 hours) AIBU to talk to them and make them aware ?

Yes - speak with the holiday site and see if there is anything they can do or put up with it for a week. They clearly aren't moving furniture, they are just using the property and the sound proofing is poor.

I would be understanding if it was footsteps I could hear but it’s literally massive bangs

I've never stayed anywhere with my dogs where its OK to leave them on their own so that would be my first thought. Definitely take it up with the management company. Demand to be moved, its awful not being able to enjoy your holiday because of arseholes like that.

Speak to the holiday site and let them deal with it.

I agree, don't speak to the group themselves, go and find whoever is in charge of the place, explain the problem and ask if they can move you. If not, then ask them to speak with the people about being considerate of others, while making it clear that under no circumstances should they say who has made the complaint. Hopefully they won't be happy to hear about a dog being left alone in the property, and will tell them that this is unacceptable, and they must take it with them if they go out. If all else fails OP then I guess you just have to suck it up, and try and enjoy your holiday regardless, although I know how difficult this can be, having been through something similar myself.
