To think jobs should be clear about training situations?

I was successful at interview for a part time working from home job.

I am a little annoyed about this situation as I am struggling to find work.

The company I used to work for went into administration in March this year.
I secured work for Thursdays and Fridays (freelance, two separate companies) but I need work at least two other days of the week to have enough money. As you can imagine it isn't easy finding two day per week jobs that also don't require flexibility for those days. I also prefer to WFH on account of being single with a dog-but I could compromise on this.

I was successful at interview for a part time teaching job-but then learned they'd need me on Thursdays-one of the days I already work. Quite a few others I've looked at were wanting people specifically on Thurs and Fris.

The one I refer to wanted me to work Sunday night (overnight, not what I'd want really but I'd do it!) and then Tuesday and Wednesday daytime. Fine-and I was successful-but then they told me that the training period is fulltime, and in Glasgow (I'm in Yorkshire).

AIBU to assume that most people cannot just up and leave their lives to go and live in a different city (in my case one that's four hours away!) for three weeks (coming back at weekends)?

Also AIBU to think that they should be clear about this if it is necessary (I am 100% sure it isn't, having done a very similar job before where the training was remote) BEFORE interviewing people, wasting both the candidate's time and their own?

I am essentially having a bit of a rant because I am disappointed, and also I am worried I won't be able to secure work around my current employment situation, but still would like opinions!

I am just adding that they've just called me back, expressing their disappointment! Implied that it isn't usually a problem but I do have other commitments as I imagine most people looking for part-time work do!

YANBU, that's ridiculous that they expect people to do that.

Would you not be better looking for a full time job though , rather than two part time ones?

Most definitely I would have preferred that!

I have a constant anxiety about this situation.

I was a tutor for a company that 'went bust' leaving a lot of students half way through a difficult and expensive course. A college offered to get some of them through the rest of the course at a subsidised rate, but only if they had a tutor-my ex boss from said company put me forward, they'd wanted him to do it, but he suggested me instead. Another company who had also offered the same thing but not gone along with it, offered a couple of us jobs-and that's where my second day came from.

Freelance tutoring is more money but the college I work for are a nightmare. They've still not given me half the material I need to teach with and I've had to spend hours and hours writing lesson plans as they didn't have any-they hadn't sorted any admin out, nothing-all had to be done by me and it has been so hard.

If I find another job I only want two days per week rather than 3, really because of how much planning and preparation the teaching jobs take up.

But yes, of the actual scenario, they seemed very surprised when I said sorry but no, I won't be doing that! I guess some people at least must be okay with it-I thought it was a very big ask!
