So I don't watch this morning, and honestly have no idea whats happening. I continue to see feeds popping up and comments for days, and im just wondering what exactly has happened? I can't seem to find exactly what was said or what caused this scandal

I don’t watch the show but learned most of this through osmosis so I can totally understand why someone would wonder just why this is in the news

WTF??

You clicked on the thread- you didn’t need to.

Most TAs don’t have time to go into the fucking staff room.

What a bizarre comment that TAs and HCPs are responsible for the multiple H&P threads. What brought you to this ridiculous conclusion?
As a HCP I wouldn't give a second of a precious break to discuss these two nonentities.

The problem is it's all rumours and speculation. If there's a superinjunction, and we have no idea if there us or not, we ca t know what it contains because it's a superinjubction!! No-one can report on it. So if someone is saying they know and repeating what it's about, they're a liar or on their way to gaol. 🙄

It's all insinuation and allegedly about the runner, Matthew McGreevy. As for his brother, its his brother who committed the act. Schofiekd us clear in his evidence that he thought they were just had watched porn together in the past. He never says that he knew that some sort of sexual assault had happened. He dudnt cover for his brother or enable his brother because as far,as he knew, nothing was happening between his brother and the victim.

I really hate This Morning and its bunch of presenters (maybe not O'Leary) who are too scared of getting cancelled for having a point if view to do any proper journalism. It alreaults on beige, boring, insipid, uninspiring TV. I don't like Schofield and don't understand how he gets on so many programmes. I feel annoyed that I'm defending him.

But it's not about him. This whole campaign is despicable. A rancid journalist on a rancid newspaper leads a campaign against him and social media decide to pile on because what a jolly sport that is. They repeat and make up a range allegations which they have no idea are true or not. Nor do they care. They just love the idea that they can exert pressure, force change, show faux agony over what they're having to participate in for the good of the nation. It's a sickening.

And anybody could be next. Just like people get cancelled in universities or clubs or theatres because someone doesn't like their view. One day you might go to work and find you've been cancelled because they don't like you or they don't agree with your opinion or someone made up a lie about you. It won't be quite so much fun then.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive with many, many personalities throwing in their 'two cents'. Are their accounts credible? Perhaps. Is this an unjustified witch-hunt? Maybe. But I have it on utmost authority that they... started multiple threads on a parenting website about the same topic. 🤫

It's trial by social media where you are guilty until proved guilty.

They laughed hysterically at things that weren't funny

Yes. It was embarrassing to watch.

Phil tried so hard to be Holly's best friend

I’m another one who doesn’t really get it, op. I know a lot of MNetters think they are being terribly witty with their scathing responses about Google, but if you purely go on google the much-maligned Daily Mail is one of the first hits, and no one here reads that, do they?
