Annoyed when people say my name wrong?

When someone calls me and they say my name completely wrong. My name is so easy to pronounce - Christina. Just split it in two:

I just had someone ask if they could speak to Christiana.

I also get Carina, Catherine, Christine.

My name's Irish, not exactly common, but I can think of two very well known people who share it. In Scotland, there's a shared spelling, with a different pronunciation.

I gave up in childhood. I answer to anything which sounds like it could be addressing me. Obviously, if I work with people for any length of time, I tend to correct them.

People shorten my name all the time - I do shorten it but not that way. It doesn't bother me though, they probably just know someone else who shortens their name that way. I must admit to calling one Christina Christine accidentally once or twice, and apologised, because I also know a Christine. It's just my poor tired brain, not meant to be rude.

I’ve name changed for this but my name is Adele.

Until the singer I was called
Adelaide, Adelly, Adil

So bloody annoying

Me too. My name is Justine. I get Janine, Christine, Julie, Joanne, Jillian, Josephine, Jamie, Genevieve and more often than not, “Justin.” I’m very clearly a girl. Never understood that one. I bloody hated my name when I was growing up and desperately wanted to be called “Sally”. My maiden name was Irish, but not that uncommon or difficult to spell. That was also a travesty. I received a letter addressed to “Just Been Born” once.

I get cross when my standard, typical, traditional first name gets mangled.
I totally understand when my surname gets mangled as, while phonetically correct, there is a more common pronunciation which is what I usually get. But that is totally the problem from whoever translated it initially, not those reading it.

I don't mind if it's the first time, or it's someone random I won't deal with much, but it's incredibly rude if it's someone you work with or see often.

I have a common name, which can start with a different letter - think Kath/Cath! I eventually sent a polite email to someone who consistently got it wrong in emails, she replied to apologise STILL USING WRONG SPELLING

I know it's not the same, but I really struggle with people calling me by my full name (I have PTSD and it comes from that association, as there were only certain people who used my full name).

Say my names was Victoria (it isn't), and I only go by Vicky (all my friends, family call me Vicky).
I introduce myself to anyone and everyone as Vicky. Sign off from emails as Vicky. Yet certain people still insist on Victoria.

I have thought about changing my name to just Vicky, but people would still assume it's Victoria, so it would be pointless.
I wouldn't mind if it was just a personal preference of mine, but it stems from deep routed trauma (currently working on with CBT).
