Help with finding router history

Hello. Sorry, I’m posting here for traffic.
I’m posting about my sister (honestly!) as I am at my wits end trying to get her to leave her revolting husband.
She found he was looking at hook up websites and gave him another chance.
She is now basically the miss marple of iPhones but told him everywhere she looked.
she thinks he is up to his old tricks as he’s deleted history and cookies, using different browsers etc and she is hell bent on getting proof before she will leave him.
she feels the only place left is the router history (sky if that’s relevant).
can anyone tell me how to get this. I’ve seen open dns and proxy servers mentioned when I’ve searched but don’t know how to do it.
I know she should just leave, I’ve told her this until I’m blue in the face, but she’s adamant she wants to catch him and I have to help or she is seriously going to lose the plot. Thanks so much to anyone who can help

you won't be able to get it off of the router

Curtains70 · 11/05/2023 09:03

I'm sure you've told her this already but if this is how she feels she needs to leave. With or without proof

Like someone said, I'm not sure that you can obtain browser history from the router itself and really, if she has that much doubt about the relationship, that should be enough.

Routers don't store that information, because they have no awareness of the nature of web traffic, just network traffic. An HTTP proxy would, but I absolutely guarantee they don't have anything like that on their home network.

She's not going to find what you're both looking for.

That kind of info isn't stored on routers

To log into a router you'll need to Google the address used by Sky . It will be something like 192.168.0.1

Assuming that the h hasn't changed the password, you'll be able to find the default login and password. It will be something like "admin"

If he's browsing incognito or using apps like Snapchat where the messages disappear then she won't get proof. If she finds any then he'll be able to use excuses like Tinder came up as a pop up/banner (they do)

Is he remembering to delete any dick pics from his camera roll and cloud ? Does he have any "hidden apps"? These are apps that look innocent based on the icon but secretly used for dodgy purposes.

You sound far too invested in this and would do well to steer clear of their relationship drama

The default passwords may be on the base of the router. Agree "proof" is a red herring though, she can't trust him.
