I have an appointment tomorrow with a neurologist. Im getting all anxious and worry I will forget what to say. It’s a telephone appointment which I’ve been waiting 8 months for and now it’s here I’m panicking.

8 months ago I was out walking with my dogs in our local woods and lost consciousness- I think I had some kind of seizure. I regained consciousness and had no idea where I was. I called my husband who found me and took me to the hospital. On arrival I lost consciousness again and was kept in for 4 days. My heart was monitored- all fine.

I am 50, no previous medical issues and on no medication. Can anyone help me feel better please I’m really getting myself worked up 🙈

Can you write down a timeline of things that happened and how you remember feeling and ongoing issues you've experienced

Also have a list of questions you might want answered.

Have a notepad/pen to jot things down during your appointment or even ask if you can record it so you don't miss anything

This is good advice from @NailsHairNipsHeels . Loss of consciousness can be caused by many things, including several neurological issues. Seizure is definitely a possibility, but only one. And it is usually very manageable. Good luck.

@NailsHairNipsHeels advice is spot on. Write a timeline of what happened and anything else you think is relevant. I think there’ll be a lot of questions, maybe family history of illnesses, any previous illnesses you’ve had, allergies. Just take the questions as they come, you can’t anticipate and write down everything and I’ve found it’s not as daunting as you think it’s going to be.
