How long for passport renewal at the moment?

Hi all, any experience of how long it’s taken to do a child passport renewal while the Passport Office strike’s on? Trying to weigh up whether to pay for an appointment or just do it the standard way… thank you!

We got new child passports and it's been about a month but that includes me needing to find an alternative person to confirm our identity as they didn't recognise the qualifications of the first. My DH's renewal was two weeks.

Should say did all online and got a digital photo done where you use the code. Very straightforward.

I sent one in 20 April and tracking is showing it is approved. Not sure how long it will take to be printed and sent.

Also there were no appointments when I looked so that was my only option.

I thought the strikes had ended on 5 May.

About 3 weeks. We were advised online that it was 10 weeks, panicked as holiday was in 6, but risked it anyway and was pleasantly surprised how quickly it arrived. This was early April

DH has recently done his (since the strikes) and it took about 14 days. That included a delay, as they rejected his first photo.

We sent off my son's - first adult passport on 25th April (did it online) . Passport arrived 2 weeks later. I was amazed !
