I ordered an impression kit to do myself at home and sent it off and they where made for me but I don't know if they are ill fitting or not as they feel tight and uncomfortable and I feel like I'm going to pill my teeth out when removing them I've also made my gums bleed taking them out.
Just wondering if anybody has any experience of these and how they got on with them. The company are not been helpful.

They’re meant to be tight and uncomfortable, the pressure on your teeth is what makes them move.

The gums bleeding sounds a bit much. I've had aligners and that didn't happen, though each new one was uncomfortable for two days then felt gradually looser.

I went to the orthodontist for mine and they took impressions with a machine (no idea what it was) and the retainer made with the machine was much more difficult to get off that the made by hand ones

they are supposed to be tight to start with but as pixie said the bleeding gums isn’t good

my retainer broke at one of the (in my case) unimportant ends and i had no problem after that, when they eventually broke completely I got a new one that fit better

i’m sorry i know thats not helpful

It is awfully painful for the first few weeks. Takes a while to get used to. You must take some painkillers and rest when the pain gets too much. I was climbing the walls the first few days, panadol and ibruprofen helped a lot. Careful what you eat too, as your teeth are moving they will be sensitive. You’ve started it now, don’t give up!!!! It is worth it in the end!!! 💐💜💪🏻

Did you get a proper dental check up before getting these aligners?

There is a reason why dentists and orthodontists need to study for 5 years plus before being qualified to do things like move teeth though bone, which is what any orthodontic treatment does.

Your mouth could have all sorts going on that needed to have treatment before aligner treatment, such as gum disease which could be why yours are bleeding. Plus the aligner treatment itself needs to be planned throughly which these at home kits do not do, hence why they are so much cheaper.

See a dentist ASAP please, and don't progress to the next aligners until you do.
