Can anyone out there help me identify this song? Desperate!!!

I heard a song on the radio the other day but by the time I'd fished my phone out of my bag to Shazam it had finished. I didn't manage to catch any of the lyrics either as it was in a fairly noisy cafe.

It's a fairly recent song I believe (maybe from the last 3 years) and has a bit of a "Beautiful People" by Chris Brown or "Crazy" by Gnarls Barclay kind of vibe. So not full-on dance but that sort of genre IYKWIM. It had a man singing and was quite harmonious and nice sounding.

I know this is incredibly vague so doubt anyone will be able to help, but just posting on the off-chance. I really like the song and am desperate to find it!

Ceelo Green - Forget You? It's about 10 years old though. Just heard it on the radio and it made me think of this thread the voice reminds me of Gnarls Barclay.

There were lyrics but I didn't catch them annoyingly, as I was in a loud cafe.

Phone the cafe and ask what Radio station they listen to. Go online and check the historical playlist. You could even whittle it down to a couple of two stations from the area and try them all if you don't want to phone the cafe.

Phoning the cafe to ask what radio station was on is exactly the sort of thing I'd do.

Many years ago, pre shazam, I'd been to the theatre and enjoyed the music played during the interval. Had no idea what it was so I phoned them, they contacted the sound engineer, and he rang me back with the details.

Ahh I love that someone is as "Well just ask!" as I am. When I was looking for a new front door so many times I'd suddenly pull up in my car and knock on random people's doors saying "I really like your front door, where's it from?". Which friends were horrified by, but I thought was perfectly acceptable.

(And the most bizarre one was a woman who said "I hate this front door. Do you want it? £200 and its yours. Wait there, I'll get a screwdriver." and disappeared off to look for one. 🤣 She was desperate to get rid of it and would happily have just gone without as it was on a porch so house would still have been secure. I still smile to myself every time I drive past that house. She was so angry at that door!)
