I really hate how polarised and deaf this country has become to different opinions.

It's the same on so many topics, just lots of shouting others down, dismissing alternative viewpoints, ridiculing of whe groups of people.

Feels like it's the way of the world now and we're all the worse off for it.

People can vote for who they like. It's a democracy.

But people also own their vote. And if you voted for this twat, then it says a lot about you that no amount of bunting can change. Firstly that you are a fellow twat. And then it's downhill from there.

Some people will have voted for him without knowing he's a twat. And that is their lesson to be more careful with their vote so as not to be a twat next time.

I'm beginning to think the Brexit "take back control" wasn't about the borders as such but about taking back control of the population.

No one can come in.
No one can leave easily.

But if you don't like it - leave.

God this guy really is the low watermark of this government. Utterly venal, stupid, shabby and racist.

I really hope we will look back in year to come and recognise his ascendancy in politics as a “never again” moment.

The Tories have quite a deep pool of MPs this stupid. Admittedly LA is one of the ones who often manages to stand head and shoulders above the rest but there are a couple in the same vein.

I wonder if Sunak realises that having people like Lee Anderson as Deputy Chair is alienating as many voters in some places as he may be gaining elsewhere.

Telling people who don't agree with something that they should leave the country is not what you expect from a Conservative politician.

I'm not sure Sunak would even realise his shoes were on the wrong feet without someone pointing it out to him.

He's got a real Robin Arryn from GoT vibe going on these days.
