Urgent anyone know how to pick a lock or are psychic

Ds birthday tomorrow all his presents are inside a cupboard locked. We can't find the key 😪 Anyone know how to pick a lock or know where the key is ? Help

On top of the door frame?

Did you put it in your purse?

What kind of hinges?

If you can get to them and they are the pin kind then you can use a hammer and small Phillips head screwdriver to knock the pin out and just remove the door.

A few to try:

1. Check the clothes you were wearing, and the linen basket if they are in there.

in case they fell out of a pocket when you were undressing 2.Go back to the last place that you definitely remember having it/using it. Then (and I know this sounds eccentric) retrace your steps, giving a running commentary out loud of what you did. 3.Another slightly bonkers tactic is to stand in the middle of the room, pat your pockets, and state loudly that you are looking for the key. 4.Pray to Saint Anthony. Yeah I usually find misplaced keys inside the pocket of the clothes I was wearing on the day I last used it. So either jeans or jacket pockets. Good luck.

My 4 yo ds once took the key for our hall cupboard for a 200 mile trip to his great aunties house and left it there under a sofa cushion without telling us because he thought great auntie would like to see it and then he forgot all about it. So much confusion firstly from us wondering where the key had gone and also for dear old great aunt who found a key and couldn’t work out where it had come from. It took quite a while for both mysteries to be solved. So in answer to the OP if could be absolutely anywhere including at a relatives house hundreds of miles away.

Glad you found it but if you hadn’t my suggestion would’ve beeen to wrap the front of the door in wrapping paper and tell him it’s a treasure hunt 😂 he can’t open his presents til the key is found!
