To be furious about this BBC News article on surrogacy

This article on surrogacy has been published today. It’s completely one sided, offers no balance, doesn’t explore any of the ethical problems with surrogacy, and talks about two men having a miscarriage - with no word or thought for the mother. Nor does it explore why the mother not being the legal parent at birth might be a problem.

There’s clearly a concerted effort among the pro surrogacy lobby to plant as many “pro” stories as they can in the wake of the Law Commission’s proposals. But AIBU to despair of the BBC’s inability to explore this issue and it’s ramifications properly?

I agree they're trying to get things changed. It's so wrong.
What also really annoys me is talking about the surrogate "carrying" the baby. It's not carrying, like you hold a newborn for a minute while the parents were. It's literally growing a person from your body. From you, out of you.
They're right it all needs reforming, but not in the way they think!

I completely agree. The law needs to be tightened, not liberalized.
