Hi All,

I'm hosting a party on my (secure, electricity-having) rooftop this Saturday and wanted to know if you have any advice on:

  1. How to make it fun and memorable
  2. How to avoid chaos

There will be around 25 people and my 3 best friends will be acting as co-hosts. Everyone 25+.

Would love to hear tales of your exploits!

We need to know more. What time? Do you need to do food? Do you have a backup plan if it rains? How big is your bloody roof that you can fit 25 people on it?!

Need to see a photo of this roof Grin

Go to someone else's - stress free! lol

evtheria · 01/05/2023 20:49

Make sure there is a seat for every single person.

I haven't had any exploits on a roof Confused

Are your neighbours ok with it? Presumably you live in flats?

AmandaHoldensLips · 01/05/2023 20:53

Make sure there is LOADS of loo roll in the bathroom.

Ok, good tip on the toilet paper.

Answers:

  • party starts at 8pm which in my city really means 9.30
  • Neighbors are coming
  • the roof is the length and width of the building... so something like 6m×12m

Can I come? Sounds fun already

WillowtreeHouse · 01/05/2023 21:06

Plenty of food, plenty of booze, soft drinks for those who want them, seats, blankets.

Fairy lights, food and snack tables, drinks tables, gentle music (attendees can hear each other speak, block next door not annoyed), cushions and blankets, clear risk assessment with barriers to stop people approaching dangerous areas.
