Hello,

Can you suggest a cheaper body wash for dry and sensitive skin?

I normally like and buy La Roche and cerave BUT somehow I no longer want to spend £20 for a body wash that runs out quickly.

Everything is soo expensive 😭

Aqueous cream is really good to use whilst washing in the shower. I use that and if it’s a been a bit hot or I’ve worked out, I just use the Aldi lacura sensitive shower gel (500ml for around a £1).

I switched to shower oil many years ago, so much better for my dry sensitive skin. Eucerin has a good one.

My dermatologist advised me to move to using E45 body wash and then Cerave moisturiser. The positive difference to my skin has been incredible.

I have terribly dry skin to the point a pair of black trousers looked like they'd been sprayed with talc when I took them off, (part of long Covid unfortunately) but I have switched to Pears bar soap and then I moisturise with E45 lotion. I found that even Sanex was just making it worse. It's helped massively but I have to do it daily!

Either switch to Dove soap bar, much cleaner feeling than any shower gel, or buy Sanex gel. Sanex is regularly available at £1.00 or £1.99 for the large bottles.

Sanex roll ons give me a rash under my arms, even the so called “dermo sensitive” ones. Don’t rate their products at all.

I would also recommend E45 rich moisturising cream - the one in the dark blue bottle..

Johnson's baby products suit me even though they are slightly perfumed.

Try Hollander Barrett for their Aloevera soap - about £5 and really softens the skin.

Switch to bar soap.

Yes! Pure olive oil soap or goats milk soap, or Gruum.
