Toddler saying his head hurts - AIBU to get him seen?

So I'm not sure if I'm just being a bit OTT with my concern with this but just wondering if you think a GP visit is worth it.

My 2 year old fell and caught his head on the edge of a table at nursery. He has a bruise on his forehead and did have quite a nasty egg when it happened. The egg has gone down and he's just left with a bruise now. It's not a particularly bad bruise although it did look quite nasty when he first did it.

I wasn't worried about it at first but this happened earlier this week and he is still grabbing it randomly and going OWW and crying a little then stopping and seeming fine. It worries me that he's still getting pain where it happened. When I ask him if it hurts there when he's upset he says yes.

Otherwise in between these times he seems absolutely fine.

If in doubt get him checked. Why wouldn't you?

I mean I've always taken mine straight to A&E after a nursery injury to be on the safe side so if it's still hurting days later I'd say yes for sure.

Yep, get it checked.

A&E have always said to me they’re always very happy to check children. (Had a run of minor accidents when mine was an adventurous toddler!) Don’t hesitate.

. I would try GP first as they can send you for additional tests skipping queues at a&e or a minor injury unit. I would use A&e as a last resort.
