Don't bother with new weak rules just ban it.
even with VPN's so your computer looks elsewhere you can still do it!

it's causes to much pain and has no real controls.

Gambling should be made as socially unacceptable as smoking.

Before mobile phones there were bookies which were fairly seedy places and you certainly wouldn’t get all and sundry wandering in there. Now we have mobile phone apps so you can sit on the bus gambling away your (and your children’s) money. That needs to be cracked down on. Gambling needs to be restricted to those places built for the purpose, There will always be gambling addicts, but there won’t be so much opportunity to pull ordinary people into addiction.

Also there needs to be regulation on how much you can gamble, in the same way as there is a limit on how much paracetamol you are allowed to buy in one purchase for instance.

And advertising should be totally illegal. I keep seeing an advert for sky Cassino I think it’s called, and it is designed purely to lure people in, with the promise of how much you can win with a bit of small print at the bottom saying “please gamble responsibly.”

And mn needs to ban the mention of matched betting when people ask how they can make some extra money. Once you’re on a betting site it’s easy enough to be drawn into gambling, gambling is gambling, and matched betting is just as much an advertisement for gambling as sky casino.

People can get addicted to pretty much anything.

Computer games, exercise, coffee, diet coke, fast food, sugar, cheese, tv watching, sleeping, diy, train spotting, glue sniffing, sex, arguing on the internet.

The list is almost endless.

I would be happy to see online gambling banned too. Just to add a vote!
