My mum is very very kindly paying for my wedding I know I'm extremely lucky.

I think we should get her a gift but I just cannot think of anything that expresses how much she's helped or how amazing she is.

OH is like yeah flowers or something. She does like flowers but it's not enough is it?

So aibu to just get flowers?
Ainbu to get something else?

She is being incredibly generous and undemanding of putting her own spin on your wedding arrangements. A beautiful bouquet of flowers, sent to her the day after the wedding would be lovely, if she had say, made the cake. This lady has given you thousands, willingly. Find her a wonderful piece of jewellery that she will love, as a memento. You will know if she is a pearl or diamond, platinum or gold lady. You should splash out, £500 minimum. Your mum is a gem, give her a lovely surprise.

My sister crocheted a blanket for my parents. She called it the Thank you blanket. They loved it.

She is really really amazing. Hands on with her grand kids. Even though living 3 hours away. Every conversation about wedding has ended with its your wedding do what you want (in a nice way) I cannot put into words. Definitely a diamond lady. Thank you everyone for your ideas

I had a necklace made for my mum which I designed with the lady who did our wedding rings, she was very happy with it and wears it most days.
