to worry about mixing up my words?

Over the past few weeks I've noticed a couple of occasions where I have used the wrong words or rather said words in the wrong order.

For example rather than saying "It's across the road from Joe's house", I said "It's across the house from Joe's"

Or when telling my husband I am meeting a friend from Leed's in London I said "I'm going to London to meet Leeds" rather than I'm going to London to meet Cathy from Leeds"

I first noticed it when rather than say "On the Hit nail the head" I said "Hit the head on the nail" It was like a robot malfunctioning and I couldn't really believe what was coming out of my mouth. That was the day after a bad migraine.

I'm 45 and have no other worrying symptoms and I can't be sure that I haven't always been a bit like this, it's not unusual for me to call someone by the wrong name or walk into a room and forget why I went in (my Mum is also like this and in her 70's shows no signs of dementia). I have a diagnosis of Dyspraxia and as a child I a stammer, which still shows up at times and I had years of speech therapy at school for that. When I get my words mixed up it feels like a similar bottle neck in my brain processing like everything is going too fast and things get jumbled or stuck. I also suffer from fairly frequent migraines although these things happen when I am not having or about to have a migraine so I can't say if they are related.

It's possible I am just really noticing the words thing and am now more aware of it happening.

I am just wondering if I should worry about this or if a certain amount of getting words mixed up is normal?

Menopause can cause some brain fog issues.

I've done it again! It should be I said "On the Hit nail the head" rather than " Hit the nail on the head" perhaps I should book that brain scan!

Ahh interesting! I am on HRT already and have been since 2020 but recently felt a few symptoms come back like my hands being stiff in the morning so perhaps I need my dose raised?

Ok looking online I see that menopause can cause a decline in verbal processing so that might be the issue then.
