Is a cleaner worth the money?

I'm considering hiring a cleaner. I have a small house, 2 bed and just kitchen and lounge downstairs.

im a single mum to one preschool aged child and also work full time and have found recently it hard to keep up with all the house work

hiring a cleaner would put a dent in finances but I could afford it by cutting back elsewhere. Just wanted opinions from others - do you find it's worth the money?

and how much per month do you generally spend on a cleaner?

It's a godsend, first thing we did when I went back to work was to hire a cleaner again. We pay £12 p/h and she does roughly 2.5 hours per week (4 bed, 2 bath house), so I guess £120 a month?

She's also happy to babysit so doubly worth it! 😁

I had one when I was a single working parent. I’m going to have one again when I go back to work after Mat leave. I hate housework and it is literally the only thing DP and I argue about so he said let’s get one! It’ll probs be every other week to be more affordable

Absolutely worth it. We have one that comes over for two hours every Friday. Now we actually have time to enjoy the weekends whereas previously we were spending most of it cleaning and tidying (DH and I both work full time and have two young kids). We pay £14 an hour so just over £100 a month.

We definitely think it’s worth it. We pay £25 per hour but she does other stuff other than clean for us.
