To ask for books with super short chapters or diary entries?

I thought about asking on the book forum but this is really books for people who hate actual books so thought it might be better not to ask on there 😂

Basically I have a super short attention span. Never finished an actual non fiction ‘book book’ in my life; except for the ones which are disguised as ‘non books’ - like This is going to hurt (with the diary entries about different stories on different days) or The 100 year old man who jumped out the window (with the short chapters which switch from past to present).

Please tell me other books you think it might like 😊 Any genre at all as long as it’s this format.

Thank you book lovers and haters 🤣

'All the light we cannot see' is perfect for this.
Brilliant book, short chapters.

I see someone has already recommended Tales of the City for their short chapters - I can add that these did catch the interest of a friend of mine who did not at that time read at all.

Where Rainbows End/Love, Rosie by Celia Ahern (they changed the name after the film came out) is written as letters, emails, MSN chat and texts. I go back to it when my brain can't take chapters. Story is predictable, but it's a super easy read.

Sign up for Dracula Daily.

Bram Stoker's Dracula is formatted as diary entries and letters, starting May 3rd Dracula Daily will send you emails of these chronologically. Some weeks you get one every day, other times you can go two weeks between entries. By November you'll have read Dracula.

It's also hilarious and wild, well worth reading.

All Ben Elton's books are written in short chapter format and are page-turners

Ella Minnow Pea- ery short chapters in the form of letters mostly.
Weirdest read ever but it easy to pick up and put down. Each 'chapter is around a page long

Love That Dog by Sharon Creech - it's very short and written as short poems written by a child (who is made to do this in class), but as you move through the book, you realise the narrative behind it. I really love this book.
