Damp and mould dodgy landlord help needed

Okay so I have a dodgy landlord and I’ll try and add photos as best I can of how bad the property is. I received a report after the council inspected that stated possible leak for the mess that is my kitchen (see photos) and the plumber found no leak but could see the damage to the carpet from the damp near the window (it smells so bad). I have the windows open all day except for when we go to bed and I end up having to put the heating on as it’s cold. There is damp in both of my children’s bedroom and black mould. The inspection said there’s 90% damp on the meter. My landlord has until the 23rd to get the damp issue sorted but I know he is gonna say well he got a plumber out. I’m just so frustrated with the state of the property and I’m on the council list on a high band but everyone in the area is on a high band with the current situation. Private housing is 895-1400 a month and local housing rate is 495 here. It’s shocking the prices and I also really don’t want to be scammed by another landlord as I’m paying an extra 150 rent here a month and it’s shocking. I’ve had to take furniture out of the bedrooms and bin clothes and mattresses because of the damp and mould. It’s costing me so much money that I’ve had to ask for a budgeting loan to address the cost of the damage to my children’s and my stuff. I’m just so disappointed with the council for allowing my landlord to continue like this. Before Xmas I had no lighting to my bedroom because there was leaks of water leaking into the light fittings (possible roof leak) so the electrician had to seal the light fittings as a temporary fix to stop the electric from constantly tripping. My landlord has stated to the council he is not dodgy but whenever I asked him about repairs since 6 weeks after I moved in he would state it’s an old house or it’s winter which is why I called the council, but the only reason they came out was because I got my mp involved. What would you do in this situation because I’m not sure what to do anymore and I’m so depressed. My children have colds and chest infections again. The photo of the kitchen is an old one and it’s spread even further to mainly past the door now and the paintwork is chipping off all the time. The mould is also in the kitchen cupboards which I clean every day because of this. By the way it’s through an agency that my landlord works for but the agency state that it is nothing to do with them and was advertisement only.

This is the photo this morning. It’s like this in the bathroom too which is the next room( I think the bathroom was originally upstairs and the kitchen has been split half way to put a bathroom downstairs and make the property a 3 bedroomed. It’s very small, the kitchen is tiny and the bathroom is small and the bedrooms are all very weird shaped and sizes and have those thin walls in between)
