Trying to watch the news this morning and the BBC keep showing this annoying interview, I just want to see what's happening around at the moment!

(Yes I know other options are available, but we only have iplayer upstairs)

Don’t know why the BBC would want to show it. It didn’t show them in a very good light.

That's the thing about the BBC. They cover stories even when the story is critical of the BBC itself.

Yeah, no, their coverage was heavily edited.

They did say that the full interview was available on other sites etc
It was 90 minutes long

Ellen Musk made mincemeat of that reporter. I hate the BBC.

I don’t hate the BBC but I think they need to step up if they are to challenge and offer an alternative to a monolith like Elon Musk. Elon could be worse but it’s not ideal to have one person owning and controlling the world’s media, even though he might try to tell us it’s “our” media. The BBC represents the government - so be it, it’s not flawless, but representing an elected government is not a problem as long as you don’t pretend otherwise (which, as correctly pointed out by Elon, they have not always been honest about).

There is definitely a role for transparent elected-government media.

Step up BBC!

I see on Twitter that Andrew Tate is an avowed fan of Elon’s. I couldn’t say if the reverse is true but it does show the need to maintain alternatives to Twitter and social media.

That BBC reporter was cocky annd entitled and thought he could use his entitlement, his Britishness and his BBCness to trample over everyone else. He got well and truly shown up. I hope that future BBC training will involve less con lines and entitlement and more genuine curiosity, research and preparedness.

That interview was so cringy, really surprised the BBC are promoting it; the whole bit about the hate speech on twitter was excruciating to watch. Was so embarrassed for that journalist’

Less cockiness I mean

Car crash Elon chewed him alive but they sent him this middleclass novice.

That interview was a clash between old and new media in real time

James Cleary went in for his 'gotcha' moment, a clear agenda to try and prove that Elon Musk is Very Bad Person. Yes, very bad person who holds wrong think views.

God, so very very painful.

Imagine having an hour with Elon Musk and running out of questions to ask. Literally nothing to ask about his family, sending rockets to space, building electric cars or even the Twitter files.

How he can call himself a journalist is beyond me. I don't imagine he has shown his face in public since this nightmare interview.
