...with a free morning with your 11 year old ds?
It feels like we never do much together anymore. Pre teen attitude is well underway and he would much prefer to be on his phone or PlayStation than spend time with his mother. However younger siblings are in nursery tomorrow and I'd like us to do something. We can't go far as the little ones will be picked up around lunch. I thought about the cinema but there isn't anything on in the morning that he's interested in.
Maybe swimming then a hot chocolate? I get really anxious in the holidays as everyone seems to be on far flung holidays or impressive days out and due to finances and work commitments we never manage to do very much. Any inspiration for something nice to do would be gratefully received.
(We are in a small ish town not a city so not a huge amount of choice!!)

Breakfast out?

Cycle?

Bookshop if he likes to read?

We did bookshop and hot chocolate once - we both loved it (but both like books, too).

Also we did baking together: any shared activity is good TBH

Don't go over-board. Big gestures and usually forgotten about or eclipse the time spent. Do whatever they are interested in (non-gaming related obviously).

Hell if your child is into gaming take them to a gaming day, just make sure its interactive for both of you. Or a escape room!

Ask him what he wants to do?
