AIBU or can you develop a bad reaction to red wine?

I have always enjoyed red wine but recently even if I only have a glass I will wake up during the night with a crippling headache. The headache often results in me being sick - almost like a migraine. It wakes me up and leaves me feeling awful the next day. Obviously as I appear to have narrowed it down I will avoid drinking it. It doesn't seem to happen with any other alcoholic drink. Anybody else had this? I'm mid 40s if this is relevant.

does it work if you take the anti histamine the day after drinking?

Give it a go but it didn't work for me.

I am fine but recently DH can't drink a glass without getting a banging head the next day. Me, I can still drink a bottle with no issues 😲so I am making the most of it while it lasts as I am heading into perimenopause now.

No, not after. It stops the reaction from happening if I remember to take one beforehand, but it doesn't seem to make any difference once the pain has already kicked in.
