Is it rude to serve something I know one guest doesn't like?

We are hosting family for Easter lunch. Ordered lamb from Tesco and they delivered the smallest leg ever. Def not enough to feed everyone. Went to the shops today to get second one to go with it and EVERWHERE was sold out of lamb. So I bought a pork joint because I love pork and we almost never eat meat so it's a treat for me. Problem is FIL hates pork. Like really hates it. But as long as he just gets the lamb (which he loves) that's fine right? Everyone else likes pork and actually I don't really like lamb anyway. To be clear it's not that he doesn't eat pork for religious reasons or anything, he eats ham and sausages and stuff just hates pork. I'm just a tiny bit worried it will come across as rude if I've bought something for lunch that I know he doesn't eat. Would you be offended?

Just serve him the lamb first before anyone else gets a choice

If you only had pork, it would be a bit off (but a polite guest would just fill up on other things and decline/push the meat around the plate).

But since you have both, it just seems like you're being extra accommodating and catering to everyone's preferences, not like a bad thing.

And in case anyone is wondering I wouldn't have given a second thought of it was say carrots he didn't like. But the meat is the main thing in a roast so it felt a bit weird. I guess because we only really eat meat at special occasions I'm just overthinking. (Because my other DC is vegetarian so actually I'm doing something different for them as well!!)

You can make this very easy for yourself. Consider that he might well think (or you may even ever so subtly hint...) that you were doing pork but you know he doesn't like it so you got something else specially for him.

If he says thank you for being so thoughtful, keep your mouth shut!

If he's going to throw a strop hand him a bib and some baked beans.
