To be sick of aching all the time

I am early 60s and feel achy all the time.
My joints (ankles, elbows, wrist, knees) and leg and arm muscles. I also have low energy. But I’ve just had a full set of bloods done and everything has come back normal, including thyroid, vitamin D, iron…

I have tried the gym but just seem to have flareups when I go. I’m not talking sore muscles from working out.

I feel like this could be a part of menopause, but my doctor says there is nothing that can be done and no more tests to do at my age. Anybody else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

I'm.53. I hear what you are saying. I never know what aches I will have. Years ago I was I'll and doctors said suspected Lupus. It was never confirmed. I have had years of relative good health then the last few years, big flare ups. It probably stress related
Massive trauma . They have diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. It all makes sense now. Thjs is widespread body pain. If I bang my arm,etc what would be nothing to some people woukd be agony to me. Does this sound like you? Hope you get dome answers and relief.

Did they test for Arthritis?

Are you taking HRT? My joint pain improved significantly after only 2 months of taking it. It was so bad in my wrists & ankles that I would cry because even at rest it hurt like hell. I still have the occasional flare but usually related to overuse rather than constant.

Well, it's simply not true that there are no other tests, or anything to be done. Just doctors who are unvarying, uneducated, or under major stress.

You could have your auto immune markers tested, to see if it is related to an auto immune issue.

You ought to have your pth tested (parathyroid), as issues often present as similar to meno/ old age etc. Even endocrinologists ignore the signs, and results.

So, I'd ask for further tests before allowing yourself to be written off!
