To ask if you have an iPad what do you use it for?

I would like an IPad but I have an iPhone and a laptop so I don't think I really need one.

I would like to try realistic drawing and note booking on an iPad but I can't really try it without getting one. Most things I could do on an iPad surely I can do on an iPhone... I would also use it for watching tv and maybe reading kindle books although I would also consider a kindle paperwhite for this and I have seen there is a new kindle which allows notetaking but it seems like the functions on that one are limited.

Reading/browsing internet/playing games in bed or on toilet. It's more flexible than a laptop and more useful for these things than a phone (my phone has a relatively small screen these days, original iPhone SE).

Readying and studying on the go for uni

Don't get a kindle paperwhite as you can't access library apps. With a library app you don't have to pay for books.

I will put a good word in for my Google Laptop. Fast, cheap and great. I didn't like Amazons Fire Stick and IPad is old school now. The Lappy does everything for me.

Mainly for drawing/digital painting. I use Procreate like a few other posters on here.

Also play games on it when my mind is racing 🙈

oh and shopping 😄

Just use it as it's more comfortable to watch than a phone. You tube etc much better on a bigger screen

I use mine for everything. Don’t have a laptop so use the iPad instead. Use I much more than my phone.

I don’t tend to read on it as I have a Kindle too. Was averse to kindles until I tried to be clever and downloaded the kindle app onto my iPad one year to take on holiday and then couldn’t read outside due to the glare.

I've got a keyboard for mine which also acts as a stand (the apple keyboard) so because it's way easier to type on than a phone I use it for emailing, texting, writing MN posts, booking stuff. Far nicer than doing it on a laptop.

Listening to music on Spotify
Listening to books on Audible
Taking photos and listing items on eBay
To do list on Remember the Milk
Gmail
Google Calendar
Taking photos and posting on Instragram
Adding items to my Waitrose order
Updating my Trello boards (mainly meal planning)
Use the timer and alarm clock
Calculator
Scrolling Mumsnet and Instragram

I have an iPhone and laptop but I bloody love my iPad. It's so much easier to use than my phone and I take it to my Mum's if I quickly need to Google something or check online.

I use mine for everything. All my daily life, banking, shopping, reading, watching stuff, surfing the net, drawing, list making, chatting to friends & family, researching. Everything except make phone calls which I use my mobile for.

Downstairs laptop
Upstairs iPad
Phone comes around with me, but not doing anything that a keyboard (see above) would allow me to do faster.
