To ask for your vote on the friendliest parts of the UK to live in

I came across this list of supposedly most friendly parts of the UK based on some survey by Rightmove or something..

I'm spending the next few years exploring potential places to live in because my current suburb is the most awful place I've ever lived in. Curtain twitchers , gossip, aggressive drivers, it's oppressive being here.

The list includes:
St Ives
Woodbridge
Hexham
Harrogate
Bury st Edmund
Richmond
Falmouth
Newbury
Altrincham

Please let me know your views if you live in any of these places or indeed want to make a recommendation .

I'm Asian if that's relevant. Thank you

Another vote for Liverpool. Plus a great sense of humour 😃

IcedPurple I think Glasgow people consider Liverpool to be our sister city.

Funnily enough even though it's sadly a shithole nowadays, voted Brexit and has 2 out of 3 tory MPs it's a very friendly place.
Thing is OP just because somewhere is naice and full of well off mc families, it doesn't automatically mean it's friendly.

Agree with Liverpool! DH is a scouse and my god his family are just amazing. His mums neighbours are amazing. And the neighbours family are amazing.

The neighbours neighbours made us sandwiches for our long journey back to Cornwall last time we visited 😂

Liverpool! It's very diverse and multicultural. I grew up close by and still go regularly. Always chat to others.

Don't ever believe anything Rightmove say.

They're also saying in the UK. All of those towns are in England. Generally (apart from N of England) Scotland and Ireland are much friendlier than anywhere down here (I'm in a London Borough)

@AspiringMermaid, would love to know how the move goes. Whitley Bay is on my list of possible places to move to.
