It's just some kind of beetle. You didn't to need to wash anything, or treat anything. There are loads of tiny beetles. It's called nature. You have just destroyed a tiny ecosystem. It's getting warm and this is the time of year they come out of hiding to find a mate. Poor things.

If it's on its own and no bites or other damage anywhere, then its just a random beetle.

OP, I found carpet beetle larvae in the guest room last year, between the bed and skirting board. They were feasting on the chest hairs that had gathered there!

Here is the pic of the carpet beetle I found. Do your bugs look like this?

Chest hairs had gathered in your spare room? Whattttt?!

Bed bugs can move FAST! You can get rid yourself, but it takes time and patience.
If you have access to one, try a steam cleaner on the mattress and around any upholstered headboards, carpets Etc. It’s a 2-person job, as the steam will make them run, and the other person has to be ready to catch them with sticky tape!
Look for eggs on back of headboard, if you find them (they look like head lice eggs - tiny), remove with sticky tape then steam the headboard. Do this every week for a month, then every 2 weeks for 2 months (adjust as you see the colony reduce)

@CherryCokeFanatic thought I was the only one who pulled a face at that! 😂

Use this. You'll kill it either way.
