Just had a shock, how much do you spend on groceries a month?

For March so far not including tomorrow’s shopping delivery of £230, I have spend £970 on groceries this month. Including tomorrows shop the last of the month the grand total will be £1200! Wtf this time last year it was about half that amount.
How much are you all spending? We are a family of 5 the 3 kids are aged between 11-16.

Mine is about the same, also 3 kids (16, 18 & 20). The 16 year old also buys lunch at school.

Just been through my online orders. Having a delivery tomorrow, which will take it to around £350 for March. 1 adult, 2 DC (6 and 7) 2 cats.

Have a watch of eat well for less on iPlayer. You will certainly be able to cut back on thot even though prices have gone up and children grown.

Yes we’re spending approx £700 a month for a family of 4 (two teens). Includes toiletries and washing stuff.

£500 for 2 adults, 4 kids and pets. Used to be able to do it for around £300.

I reckon that all together I spend about £100 a week on food . Sometimes a bit more, sometimes less. There are 4 of us including 1 teenager and 1 large man!
Absolute maximum of £500 a month.

Ok maybe it’s not so bad after all but I’m still shocked. I have seen multiple threads where people claim to spend £70-80 a week on groceries, eat 5 course meals like royalty with multiple snacks throughout the day and it made me wonder what I’m doing wrong.

around £800 a month. I’m looking forward to the holidays as it will actually be cheaper for me to have my children at home (packed lunches are costing a fortune 😑)

Before opening, I calculated it.
I reckon £800 a month on average - obviously less on 4 week months, and more on 5 week months.
That's 2 adults, 2 Tweens, and includes alcohol and cleaning stuff, and half the cat food (other half is delivered at £30 a month).

A year ago, it was closer to £500.

About £450 / month for two adults and two teens. My best way to keep costs down is only buy ingredients.

We try to keep it at about £650 altogether for 2 adults, 4 dc (2 secondary, 2 primary), and 2 cats. It was about £100 cheaper only a few months ago.

March to date £345, for 2 adults and 2 children (age 5 & 8) and a cat. That includes one Hello Fresh box with 5 meals in it. Kids both have school lunches but husband & I both eat stuff from home for lunch. Another delivery booked for tomorrow and have popped to the shops for forgotten bits which aren't included about but I would expect the bill to be under £450 for the month.

We budget for £900/month for two adults and a 4yo. A year ago, it'd have probably been closer to £750-800.

Family of 4, eldest eats like an aduot, youngest eats like a bird. We usually come in at £6-700 per month, even with having to buy a few GF items.

We spend £90-110 a week on food. 2 adults 3 kids, we don't drink alcohol and try to meal plan as much as we can

Once a week deliver around £120 for the basics, £80-£100 on treats / top up / alcohol. £20 per week on DTs lunch account (they take packed but get £10 for snacks at break). The delivery covers breakfast / packed lunch for DTs and DH, my lunch when I'm WFH and dinner 5-6 nights week. We eat out / get a takeaway on one night.

I buy breakfast and lunch when I'm in the office. Just paid £8 for a Subway.

Two adults and two tweens who eat adult portions.

Between 600-700 2 adults 2 under 5 and 3 cats....

It's crazy expensive... some things are 50p more.... squash used to be 2 for £2 and now £2 each!
