Neighbours from hell

Need some advice didn’t know what topic to pick so gone with AIBU. We have neighbours from hell and live on a new estate. it’s a small estate with some council properties and some owned properties. I live on the strip of houses that are council houses. We live on the very end one. There is one house on the street that is causing and has caused for the last three years, a lot of drama, trouble, noise, drugs, and generally disgusting behaviour. Today is the first proper day of sunshine and they are all sat outside drinking smoking and swearing with all their kids. It’s been like this for the last three years. All of the neighbours from all the houses have had enough of them. They had enough of them the first year but sadly they’re still here. We’ve had many words with them before, but they are constantly drunk and unreasonable. My son wants to play outside with the kids because to be fair the kids are fairly sweet still. They have four kids and a two bed house. They’ve had social services round at least twice, but the house is absolutely spotless when they’re not getting on it. There’s not a thing out of place and social services give a warning before they come round. The police have also been called many times for noise et cetera but nothing ever really seems to get done. The husband was arrested once for shouting at an old neighbours kids they’ve actually moved now because of this. The wife attacked another Mum from our local school last week and now she is moving house also and leaving the village. The poor woman was pregnant. There is so much I could write, but I’ll be here all day. There’s a really nice old couple they live on our street that bought theyre house to retire in and after paying for an extension. They are now going to sell the house and move because of these people. Very long winded and thanks if you made it this far, but please someone give me some advice on how we can get them to leave? I don’t understand how after so many complaints they’re still here. Helpppppp!

You can't. People don't leave just because the neighbours don't like them.

If it's local authority housing surely you can contact the housing people? Apologies if I've misread what you've written! My friend works for a housing company and they are extremely on it if they get complaints but I guess this varies by area

You have to write a diary of everything and keep reporting to the council and police. It’s only with a backlog of reports that anything will get done.

Honestly, put in for a swap, we had years of this, and unless you want years and years of reporting, recording evidence, meaningless warnings and nothing really being done by housing/council, just move. It's rubbish but sometimes you've got to let them win for your own mental health.

Keep reporting. Again and again and encourage others affected by them to report too. Eventually, they will be evicted but you literally have to sit on the Local Authority.

Contact your local Councillor too and every time you make a complaint to the LA, copy him/her in. Good luck OP

Thus sounds horrible. I echo PP and keep reporting to HA.

They have had so many complaints to police and housing association already. Nothing ever comes of it, it’s awful. The sweet old couple have even gone as far as getting an ombudsman involved with the housing association because they are crap. I have had to keep my cool so many times and I’m on the brink of just letting rip. I shouldn’t have to dread the summer because of their inexcusable behaviour. A few situations have happened where we’ve had to have words but I said we need to keep things civil for the sake of my son who is 6 and very much aware of his surroundings and I don’t want any nastiness or possible violence brought to my doorstep but I have honestly had enough. We’ve now got a 6 month old baby who is in our room with us (which faces the front) where they all sit and drink all night in the summer. LOUDLY. And if she’s woken, I fear my partner going on a rampage out there. It’s such a shame, we moved to this village thinking it would be lovely and they have ruined it for us and so many others. Surely they can’t have 4 kids in a two bed?!
