AIBU to feel like those people who ask you if you’re alright despite you already telling them (truthfully!) that you are alright are just as bad for your mental wellbeing than the people who don’t care if you’re alright?

I am fine!!!!!!

The first time in a while than I’m feeling relaxed, happy to watch and mind my own business and someone following me around to ask if I’m ok.

Then I’m wondering if I’m giving off a negative energy, if others are thinking I’ve got the hump, etc?

Maybe there IS something wrong with me and I’ve forgotten about it?!?!

I am fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arrgh YANBU. I also hate people who ask "how are you?" or "are you all right?" and they're a total randomer but somehow expect you to go into details about your life and times and they can't accept "I'm fine" as the polite and generally correct answer to their loaded question.

I think people say "are you sure you're all right" just to show they genuinely care about you, and they really want to know how you are and don't just want the standard "yes I'm fine" that we all say to polite but not very interested inquiries even if we're at death's door.

I'm trained in mental health first aid and was taught to always ask a 2nd time as people will usually just say yes I'm fine on auto pilot
