How much has your salary increased in last five years

Just realized that I've been with my employer for five years - checked our salary scales and in that time my salary has increased by 20k. On the one hand, feels like I should feel richer but on the other with prices going up as well as interest rates on our mortgage, it feels like we are no better off now. Changing employers won't help as we are on nationally negotiated payscales. How much have your earnings gone up in last 5 five years?

Mine has gone up by 21k BUT 5 years ago i was working 3 hours a day as an account assistant, since then I have moved company, work full time and had 2 promotions which accounts for a lot of the increase.

Increased by £15k, but I have changed companies twice since then and my previous two jobs before my current one were relatively underpaid for my role.

About £1k I'm broken by endless pay freezes & removal of any way to get more

To be honest, the last 5 years have been amazing for my career. My compensation has gone up by 360%. That involved moving countries (from the UK to a country with higher salary), changing company and three promotions though.

I was working part time and severely underpaid 5 years ago, now fully established in my career and earning over 5x as much. I've changed jobs twice to achieve this, and will have to change jobs again to get another substantial jump. I'm pleased with my progress, considering I was a sahm for many years.
