Apart from your dh of course!

I have an old, battered pair of Nike trainers that I got nearly new and have worn them to death. Still going...don't smell. My New balance trainers sit new in their box.

Sadly I don't have them anymore but I used to have the softest grey joggers. I used to wear them around the house. As soon as they were washed they were always my go to. I wore them so much the arse wore away.

I feel your pain @thelengthspeoplegoto . Clothing bereavement is real!
I've taken to buying a 2nd garment when I find something I like. Only a middle aged person can be confident they'll still be wearing it in 5/10 years time.

What a lovely thread idea 😊

DH has two beach towels we bought for our first holiday abroad that he uses for showers. He adores them and refuses to part with them despite the fact they're threadbare and the white stripes are now grey. I hate them and have bought him many alternatives over the years but he won't part with them. Maybe they remind him of our first wee holiday!

I have my first teddy that I still sleep with every night. Patches of fur missing and no mouth (so he always looks angry) but I sleep funny if I don't have him with me!

My pc desk,it's an old fashioned wooden office type one that I found in a British Heart Foundation shop-paid £30 for it,it's got one deep filing type drawer,a smaller one and one longer narrow drawr. The varnish has long since worn off of the top but I love it,it's got proper character

A tee shirt that I got off a v old bf. 30 years ago! It’s soft and worn and somehow reassuring.

I’ve got a fleece I bought in Primark in 1999. There are a couple of holes in the front, but it was really well made and I have worn it loads.

We have bath sheets that we use daily. We bought them on a beach stall in Portugal for 3 escudos 36yrs ago. They are fraying a bit at then ends now but are still soft and very comfy when getting out of the shower.

A very old initialled handkerchief that was my father's. He died 36 years ago and it's one of the few things I've got.

Also have my lovely soft guide camping blankets from the Army & Navy opposite Lewiss in Liverpool. First used in 1966.

The kitchen knife I bought from Sainsbury's when I first left home 43 years ago. It is a Sainsbury's brand cooks knife, just the right weight and size, plain black plastic handle. The point has been broken off it but I haven't been able to find any other knife I like as much. I thought it so important to have a good knife I took my children to buy the knife they wanted when they first left home.
