This happened to me today: called the lift in the basement floor of a shopping centre, lift arrived absolutely crammed full, I moved to let them off, at first no-one budged, but finally they begrudgingly let me on, I wanted to get off at ground floor, everyone had to move to let me off. Gaily said "Thank You" while everyone gave me dirty looks.
What is the matter with these people? Is this normal behaviour? Do they not know the lift is going down and someone might possibly want to get in on the bottom floor? If you want to go up, isn't it quicker just to wait for a lift going up?
